I have my tickets, from Venice to Paris but I'm worried about the luggage weight requirements? Advice?
I fly Ryanair at least once every year. I love them for their effiecieny and for their way of being so functional. But you have to read the fine print. There is a check-in fee but that also entitles you to prefered boarding which makes sense as they've got free seating and really small legroom. Therefore people who're from 5'8 tall should try to get an emergency exit row seat. They weigh every single item you carry so make sure no single one suitcase is over weight. There seems to be a zero gramms tolerance. It's also important to know that their Venice is not what Venecians call Venice and their Paris is not what Parisians would call Paris. Their Frankfurt is closer to Luxembourg than to Frankfurt by the way ;-)
No it is not complicated but I agree the website documents all the requirements in detail.I used them from Porto to Paris last yr w/o a hitch. As long as you have minimal luggage and stay w/in weight limits you will be OK. The excess charges can be a heavy sting if it applies to you.
Although I have never travelled Ryan Air, I know that they do not fly into major airports. This means that getting into the city might be a 100 Euro Cab Fare or a 2 hour train ride. There is a low cost airline that does fly into major airports that you might want to try. www.vueling.com
