Ryan air Baggage??

We booked a flight with Ryan air. One question... it says we are alowd to check in 1 bag weighing 15kg each. Then says we are allowd 10kg for a carry on. Now is that a toal weight of 25kg of the combined carry on and checked in OR does the 15kg need to be distributed amoung the check in and carry on. I hope you understand this as I am confusing myself writing it. Thanks Sarah

As far as I know, you are allowed to carry on 1 bag weighing up to 10kg, 22#. You are also allowed to check, for a charge, I think, an additional bag weighing up to 15kg, 33#.

Right, you get one checked bag (15kg) and one carryon (10kg). If you intend to check a bag, it's cheaper to say so when you book online than if you tell them at the airport (there is a charge for checked bags, no matter what).

Sarah, as you're flying with RyanAir, be very careful to pack light! They are ruthless with weight limits! If your checked bag is even a few ounces over the limit, you'll be nicked with an "overweight charge". Depending on the airport, this might involve leaving your place in line for check-in and join another queue to pay the charge, and then rejoining the original queue.

Good luck!
