Hello, I will be in Rovinj until September 13, 2013. I need to fly out from VCE (Venice) on a very early flight September 14th. I want to take the ferry from Rovinj and have heard that there are 4 per day. I would like to spend the night before in Venice and was wondering in terms of where the ferry docks and location of airport could anyone advise me on a good place to stay that I could get to airport easily and also see some of central Venice without spending an arm and leg?!! :)

As far as I know, the Venezia Lines ferry leaves Rovinj at 7:00 am and arrives Venice San Basilio (north side of Giudecca Canal, west of Zattere)at 10:45 am on 9/13. From there you can catch a water bus to San Zaccaria, which is just east of Piazza San Marco. Get a room is this area, and in the morning, you have the option of taking the Alilaguna boat to the airport at 3:44 am to get you to the airport by 5:00 am, or the night boat to Piazzale Roma and take the bus to the airport.
