I am interested in finding transportation from the port in Rome, Civitavecchia, to Ostia Antica. Any suggestions?

Ostia Antica on the Lido line which is really an extended metro line. It starts in downtown Rome at the Pyramide metro station - which is adjacent through a walkway from the Rome Ostiense Train Station...
So you would have to take the train in from Civitavecchia to Rome Ostiense and then walk over to the metro station and catch the Lido Train out to Ostia. That's about a one hour trip in from Civitavecchia... followed by a 35-45 minute ride out to Ostia Antica!
I'm not sure there is an easier way - You could try buses but they certainly will not be as direct nor as quick.
Of course, there's always the taxi but that would be extremely EXPENSIVE! Most effective route would probably be the train/metro.
