Rough Water in the Greek Isles?

My wife and I will be cruising from Venice to Athens on the Star Flyer (a relatively small craft) in June. I'm hearing rumors that the waters we will be traveling in (the Croatian coast and Greek Isles) are be very rough and turbulent seas. Is this true?
