Hello all,
We are traveling in October in France. We’ll be arriving at Gare du Rouen train station at noon and will be picking up a rental at Europcar at 2pm. I’m having difficulty finding the appropriate public transportation to get us to the Europcar office (on the east side, near the sotteville bus/metro station, I think?). It appears that we can take the bus/train to Sotteville, then have a 20+ minute walk through railyards to get there. But I’m having trouble finding any more detail than that online.
Is there an easier/quicker way to get to Europcar?
Isn't there a Europcar office right in the Rouen train station? (That's what I see in Google Maps.)
Yes, but there’s a $40 difference when picking it up at the train station. I’m trying to see if it’s worth the extra cost.
I think this is a case where your time and aggravation is worth way more than $40. A walk through railyards to get there? I looked at the map, this looks like a suburb of Rouen. Honestly I would consider the $40 well spent not to have to make my way to Sotteville-les-Rouen. How long is the car rental for? The $40 would be amortized over the # of days you have it. Just think of it as only $6 more per day (or whatever it is) to pick up the car in a convenient location rather than spending time getting lost and aggravated in a suburb of Rouen to find the place.
Kim,
I think you’re right. Changing the reservation...
thank you!
