Rome to Paris, low cost airline help!

I'm trying to book a flight between Rome and Paris and as luck would have it, they just lowered the fares for me! So experienced flyers, what looks easier to you/which is the better airline?

Vueling, Fiumicino-CDG
or
Easyjet, Ciampino-Orly

Thank you much!

I will be flying with EasyJet from Paris - Rome in early April.

I haven't flew any with them, I am choosing easyJet as it is a lot cheaper than Vueling and there seem be more times for me to choose from. I have asked people about easyJet on this forum, most of them seem not to have any problem with the airline.

However Vueling uses Fiumicino, and this seems to be an easier airport to get to as there are trains to get there from Rome city centre, but it is further away from the city. Ciampino has no train station, therefore you would need to use buses.

Hope this help, and I am sure the experienced flyers will come in soon and give better advice.

I used Vueling as it was so easy for me to get to CDG and Fiumicino is an easy airport to get into Rome from. I thought Vueling was fine, and I did in fact google airline reveiws and read them and Vueling had good reviews. Plus they use newer planes.

Rena,

I've never flown with Vueling but based on many comments I've seen on other travel message boards, that would be my choice. Be sure to carefully read their terms and conditions, and especially luggage limits.

It will be much easier to get to & from the city centres if you're using Fiumicino and CDG. Travel from Roma Termini to Fiumicino is very easy on the Leonardo Express (about 30-40 minutes). I can't recall the transportation at CDG but I believe either the RER or the Metro is available there, as well as Shuttles (check Rick's book for the details).

Happy travels!

We've flown Vueling and Easyjet to Paris from Rome. I prefered Vueling just because FCO was easier for us to get to... and once we landed at CDG we hopped a train in... The flights are usually very early or late in the day, so do look at your schedule and transportation needs. Easyjet goes into Orly (if I recall correctly) which is an older airport, but easily accessible to Paris.

I would avoid RyanAir as their "Paris aiport" is actually about 50 minutes away by bus. It's just too far! Vueling and Easyjet are very competitive on pricing and both modern and easy to use. DO READ about the luggage restrictions!
