Rome to Orieto by train

We are wanting to travel by train from Rome to Siena with stopping in Orvieto before continuing on to Siena. I need to travel by train as I get motion sickness very easily and traveling by bus through the hills will make me sick. I can't seem to find a train that goes from Rome to Siena on the trenatalia website. Does anyone know if a train stops in Orvieto and what train I catch out of Orvieto to Siena? I did research all of RS archives to find this answer and found nothing that directly answers these questions. I need your help.
Thanks.

Kathy, There are numerous trains from Rome to Orvieto every day, so you'll have lots of choice in departure times. Travel time is ~1H:15M and second class fare ~€14.50. There are also numerous trains from Orvieto to Siena, so again you'll be able to choose trains based on how long you want to spend in Orvieto. Travel time is ~2H:30M and there's usually one change at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. I'm not sure whether there are luggage storage facilities in Orvieto, as I've never had occasion to use them. I obtained the above information from the Trenitalia website. When you arrive in Siena, you'll have to take a Bus or Taxi from the station up to the city. Where are you going after Siena? Happy travels!

Kathy, try a date during the next 2 weeks. As you may have noticed from other posts, Trenitalia hasn't yet posted schedules for dates after mid-June. Schedules rarely change, so you'll get a pretty accurate idea of your options using the current schedules.

Kathy, as mentioned above, there are numerous trains from Orvietto to Siena. Also mentioned above, Trenitalia posts their new schedule on June 12 (often late). Typically, they wait until the last minute to post the new Regionale train schedules. All of the trains that you will be on to Siena will be Regionales. Here's a current link. The schedule won't change much with the new postings by Trenitialia. The fare is 7.90E. http://orario.trenitalia.com/b2c/nppPriceTravelSolutions.do?car=0&stazin=orvieto&stazout=siena&datag=03&datam=06&dataa=2011&timsh=05&stazin_r=Staz_DA&stazout_r=Staz_A&timsm=18&timsm_r=18&lang=en&nreq=5&channel=tcom&npag=1&lang_r=en&nreq_r=5&channel_r=tcom&npag_r=1&x=33&y=11
