There are 7 or 8 trains a day from Rome to Munich up until the middle of December but there seems to be just the night train after that for the rest of December. Anyone know if that changes back or will the night train be my only option?

We had to book the night train several weeks ago for 12/25 and it was expensive and almost full. Best of luck!

New timetables throughout much of Europe will go into effect on 14 December. Those day trains will continue to run. Schedules are not likely to change by more than a few minutes, if at all. However, until Trenitalia updates its Web site, you won't be able to see those day trains on either that site or on the bahn.de site.
