Our destination is Florence, but we're flying in and out of Rome. How's the best way to get there? If we take the train, how is the best way to get to Termini station from Rome international airport?
Hi Julie,
You can take the train directly from FCO ( airport ) to the main train terminal in Rome. Once at the terminal buy your ticket to Florence. You can also buy your train ticket to Florence at FCO.

Hi Julie, Assuming you are arriving in to FCO, the fastest way to get from there to Florence as others have stated is to take the train from the airport to Termini station and then take the train to Florence. The cost of a Standard EuroStar train ticket (the fastest) one way from Rome to Florence is 47/33 Euro 1st/2nd class. This is about a 1.5 hour train trip.
I agree with the others. That's just what we did on October 1.
I recommend EUROSTAR train, FIRST Class, from Rome Termini to Florence. It is generally recommended that passengers get a reserved seat for a EUROSTAR train before the day of train travel.
