Rome flat rate taxi fee

We are arriving at FCO and need to travel to Roma Termini. I'm calculating price differences for our options. Is there a flat rate taxi fee between the FCO & Termini? I know Leonardo Express is 14E pp, so it might be cheaper (and easier) to go by taxi. As always, I appreciate your input

Yes, Euro 50 to City Centre, which is very defined. Where, exactly, are you staying?

It's € 50 now, 24/7, all-inclusive price. Do not tip.

If you are taking another train at Termini, consider that:

  • 99% of high speed trains headed north of Rome call at Rome Tiburtina Station after Roma Termini
  • the FCO-Tiburtina train costs € 8 pp.
  • cabs stop in front of train stations, trains stop inside them.

I think the current rate is now 50e.

As we queued up at the taxi rank at FCO, there was a sign stating that the price for the taxi to Rome was 50 euros. The sign was probably there so that people were informed of the rate they should be paying. No more no less than 50 euros.

Really appreciate your response. After landing at FCO, we will make our way to Florence by catching a Freccia from Termini. After a long red-eye flight, the decision for taking a taxi to Termini is our easiest option.

Re taxis, after climbing into an official cab at the stand, do I need to say anything other then my destination Termini? Since it's a flat fee, should the meter be off? Also, does the fare included one luggage piece pp before an extra 1€ surcharge?
