Is it better to take a taxi, shuttle, or train to our hotel from FCO airport to Rome (hotel is 10 minute walk to the Vatican)

How many people, how much luggage?
Train to the Termini station and then subway is cheapest. Taxi is 40 Euro.

sorry forgot to include that, there will be 4 of us (family), 4 carry on bags

See how helpful it is to have good information. For four it will be cheaper for a taxi -- fixed at 40E, the train would be 44 plus the cost from Termini to your hotel.
