Anyone have a recommendation for a safe reliable car service from airport
in Florence?
I arrive on a late flight, as a solo traveler, and prefer an arranged ride to my hotel as opposed to hoping for an available taxi.

Taxis are available at the Florence airport whenever flight operations are running. There's no reason to think there wouldn't be taxis. The fare is a fixed rate into the city center, plus certain surcharges. Information is on the airport website. You could also use AppTaxi to summon a taxi. The airport website also has a section for private transfers.
