I forgot combination to lock. Now I cannot open them. Is there a way to open the lock without the combination?
You can easily bypass the lock and open the zipper for the bag with a ballpoint pen: http://youtu.be/G5mvvZl6pLI
You might try contacting the RS office. There might be a way that they could retrieve the combination (serial number or something).
Most of the little three or four wheel locks are self setting so no one would know of the combo since you will have set the lock. If you cannot change the combo, then looks for a serial number or code on the lock. The company who made the lock would know the combo. You may have to go through some hope though to get the combo.
Go down to the airport and ask TSA to open it for you. Once it's opened, you can reset the combination.
Perry, The suggestion made by Frank II is one good option to consider. As a retired Locksmith, I'd suggest taking the Lock to your local Locksmith as they should be able to open it. They may use the TSA lock mechanism or may manipulate the dials. The combination mechanism is somewhat "simple" on those Locks, but I've forgotten the details on how to "discover" the combination. Once you get it open, I believe the procedure is to rotate the shackle and depress, and then set a new combination (be sure you make a note of the new combination). Of course, the final option would be to simply buy another Lock. As the old saying goes "they're cheap like Borscht". Cheers!
