Rick's Roller Bag on SAS Airlines

My husband and I have a flight from Prague to Copenhagen in September on SAS Airlines. We are considering buying Rick's Roller Bags, because they are lighter than what we have been using. SAS has a one bag carry-on rule, with an 8 Kg weight limit, and measurements not to exceed 23x40x55 Cm. I believe that Rick's Roller Bag might be a smidge taller than this (I called the Travel Store, and was told that their 21" height measurement does not include the wheels). Has anyone recently flown on SAS and carried on one of these Roller Bags? We really, really, do not want to check our bags. Thanks!

I have flown on Lufthansa, NWA and KLM with Rick Steves' 21" Roll Aboard and no problems as a carry-on.

55cm = 21.7 "
40cm = 15.7 "
20cm = 7.9 "

Total: 115 cm which is max for carry on
45 " which is max for carry on

Check out this site:

Hope this helps.

Eight kg is 17.6#. If that includes a 7# roll-aboard, you limit yourself to about 10-1/2#. Put that in a 2# Classic Carry-On and, at 12-1/2#, you don't need the wheels.

Use rolling bads for heavy, checked luggage. If you carry-on, get the lightest bag you can, which means no wheels.

Thank you JB for the link to the airline regulations. It is a great resource, and handy to have, instead of looking at each airline's site. Lee, I would love to use the classic carry-on (I used to), but after breaking my shoulder, I cannot. I pack very lightly(wash frequently), so I think that I can limit my things to the 10 lbs, + the wheeled bag's 7 lbs. I just want to make sure that if I do make the weight limit, that Rick's wheeled bag will be OK with SAS height-wise. I know the main part of the bag comes in under 55 cm, but it is probably over that when the wheels are added to the height. Thanks!
