My apologies for posting this question in the Bayern-Ticket section. Can I use the Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket on Trans Regio trains? I notice this train travels from Koblenz to Bacharach. I know the rules for such Länder Tickets.
You can use the Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket for Trans-Regio trains between Koblenz and Bacharach.
I suspect that Trans-Region is one of the companies operating regional trains according to the Bahn privatization policy.
The sure way to know is to check the "radio button" only local transport. Then, if it shows a train, it's covered by the pass.
Thanks for such a quick response. The Trans Regio was not listed as one of the acceptable train types on the DB website.
Any regional train running on German Rail tracks will be covered.
I just did a search on the Bahn website for fares for five people on regional trains from Koblenz to Bacharach on Tues. Apr. 7 at 9 AM. Because the full fare for five people is more than €27, the Bahn offered a Rheinland-Pfalz-Ticket at €27. The trains were TRs.
