I will be traveling in Italy the end of April for 2 weeks. I need guidance in booking reserved seat train tickets from Venice to Florence, Florence to Pisa, Pisa to Rome. I want to make sure that once I book my online train tickests with Trenitalia's site that I have a reserved seat. Has anyone done this and can you help me?
The high-speed Eurostar train tickets include the seat reservation. Unfortunately the Trenitalia site doesn't accept US credit/debit cards. But you won't have any problems securing tickets once you arrive in Italy:

We used the kiosks at the train station to buy our point to point tickets.
It comes in various languages just follow the prompts and use your credit card to pay. We bought 2nd class and it gave us the option to reserve the seats make sure you do other wise you will be sitting in the hall on jump seats.
We traveled from Genova to Bergamo return and from Genova to the Cinque terra, both on day trips. We had to change trains in Milan station to get to Bergamo we watched the big board to find out which platform to change to. It was very easy. I thought we had to book ahead but we went the day before to get oriented with the train station and to buy the tickets. Have fun and go with the flow.
Michael & Kim, Thanks for all of your help with this. I posted another question regarding luggage area & 1st class tickets.
