For an Railjet train from Munich to Vienna on a Sunday late afternoon, would a reservation be prudent? Thanks...

I looked up a Railjet connecting for a Sunday afternoon on the Bahn website. It does not say a reservation is suggested. I also looked up that train on Austrian Rail for next Sunday and it said there are still seats reservable. However, I prefer to be safe rather than sorry. A reservation, purchased from the Bahn along with an online ticket is €2,50 in 2nd classs, €3,50 in 1st. Even at the counter, with or without a ticket, it will be €4,50 in 2nd, €5,50 in 1st. To me, that's cheap insurance against standing.

For peace of mind, 2.50 or 3.50 is a very small price to pay.
