reservation on tgv trains

hello all, when one purchases train tickets on the tgv-europe website...does the cost shown include the seat reservation? i know you used to have purchase the seat reservation separately and i just want to make sure I don't need to make a second purchase of the reservation. Thanks to everyone for all their help on this trip--you all are invaluable!

If the seat reservation is required it will be included in the price of the ticket. If the seat reservation is optional then it will be a separate charged or a selected option at time of purchase.

Hi Brian, OK this is different. In the past you had to wait until 90 -120 days prior to your journey to purchase your "TGV tickets"depending on the websight. IDTGV tickets could be purchased earlier but didn't have all of the time/train options of TGV. Yesterday I purchased two tickets from Cannes to Paris for the 12th of August on TGV-Europe. I used GB as my home country and purchased in Euros verses British Pounds due to the exchange rate. No problem with my credit card - went through the first attempt. Very excellent price for a first class ticket as well - only two Euros more than 2nd class. The TGV computer will select your coach/seats for you after you enter your seating preference. When you print your tickets the train/coach/reserved seat numbers are all confirmed. Very journey friendly site and less expensive than the Rail Europe state side option. Enjoy your trip. Emma
