RER B Closed at CDG Sunday April 3

I saw a post on another travel site that RER B is non-operational from CDG airport on Sunday April 3. Tried to find info on the RATP website and could find nothing regarding service disruption. Does anyone have more info? Or a suggestion as to how to get to Vincennes? We were headed on RER B to the Chatelet Les Halles station to catch RER A to Vincennes, but at this point transportation to any metro station in town will work and we'd just find our way to Vincennes by metro lines. Thank you.

Hi Faith, we got caught in a service disruption heading to the airport last weekend. They are bussing people from Terminal 3 to Mitry-Claye on the RER B line (the other fork that isn't closed). You can then take the RER from Mitry-Claye to anywhere on the B line that is before the split that terminates at CDG, if that makes sense. The ticket you would normally buy to ride the RER from the airport covers both RER ride and bus. Someone else may have a better alternative, but that's what we ended up doing.

That kind of stuff is not all that uncommon. All you have to do is proceed as originally planned and there will be something clearly in place to detour around the problem. Nothing to worry about.

The only real issue we had is that the service interruption wasn't well announced/signed in the city (we were at St. Michel/Notre Dame). We finally got a clue when there was an announcement that 'ground services to CDG' were suspended and went and asked the lady at the information desk. There was plenty of signage, as well as employees directing traffic, at both the airport & Mitry-Claye, so it should be much easier for anyone coming the other way.

I've had a question since I saw a previous post of yours...what is the address of the place in Vincennes that you're going to? RER A 'may' not be the best train for you... The disruption you mention isn't terribly rare, as other posters have said. They have buses...it's just for transferring from one 'tine of the fork' (CDG) to another (Mitry-Claye). You're definitely not left stranded at the airport... So, where are you going in Vincennes?

We'll be staying at the Royal Regency which is a Diamond Resort (formerly Sunterra) timeshare. This will be our third time there (we are owners) and we LOVE it. Vincennes is a great town itself bakeries, restaurants, chocolate shops, a Farmers Market twice a week (complete with bunnies and pheasants hanging in stalls). It is easy access to anywhere in town in under 30 minutes and just a 20 minute walk (although there is a bus we've never taken, even in the rain) from the Metro or RER station to the front door. We enjoy having a kitchen (but we don't cook) and a full living room to collapse in at the end of the day. We hit one of several grocery stores that range from large to a corner fruit stand to stock up on milk, juice, fruit and yogurt then buy our breakfast pastry every day at one of the bakeries in town. And often we'll buy a ham and cheese baguette at the same time and then we either take that as part of our picnic lunch or save it for dinner and have a hot meal in the city mid-day. The reason we've never seen the city lights (a top priority this time) is because we enjoy the restaurants in Vincennes so much and tend to head back "home" by 7PM. Our stay is always for 1 week, although this time we're leaving a day early to take the TGV to the Diamond Resort in Mougin in the Riviera area never been there and it seems like a week will only just scratch the surface of all the interesting towns I've been reading about. Will be hard to sleep tonight from excitement, so hopefully I'll be able to sleep on the plane tomorrow 5 hours from LAX to JFK then another 7 or so to CDG. I envy our east coast friends that are joining us since they are already half way there when they board!
