I am going to take a short trip to Spain and Portugal and plan to rent a car for some of the trip. Do I have to have an International Drivers License if I will only be there for two weeks? If so, can you recommend a site for me to order one from--there are so many? Thanks!

The international driver's license is a scam. But you do need an International Driver's Permit. You get one at an AAA office.

The International Driver's Permit is also a scam. In my 40 years of foreign travel, mine has never been checked. It just takes the info on your driver's license and translates it into foreign languages. Don't you think every law enforcement officer in Europe can get the obvious dates, addresses and numbers off any driver's license?
But it's not that expensive to get at AAA, so I do have one.
