I have a bit of a complex question that I'm hoping for some help with. We will be renting a narrowboat this summer for a week in North Wales. We will return the boat on a Sunday morning at 9:30 and then travel to Bath. The name of the town we drop the boat off is called Ellesmere. The closest decent size city to it is Shrewsbury - approximately 15 miles away. We had hoped to rent a car and enjoy the drive to Bath but we can't find a car rental company in Shrewsbury that is open Sundays. The only creative way I can figure to do this is to somehow arrive with the boat in Ellesmere Saturday afternoon, take a bus to Shrewsbury, rent the car that afternoon, and drive back to Ellesmere for the last night on the boat.
Any other suggestions? or should we just give up and take the train?
