In October, we are traveling to Rome, Siena and Venice. We plan on taking a train from Rome to Siena but want to rent a car in order to travel to Florence and in the Tuscany region. Should we rent in Florence? Siena? Another venue?

I don’t believe there is a direct train from Rome to Sienna. When we did it a few years ago we had to change trains in Florence. What is your final destination?

We start in Rome for five days, then on to Siena for five days, with planned day trips to Florence and other areas in Tuscany, then on to Venice for three days. We would like a car while in Siena/ Tuscany only. Best options? No train from Rome to Siena?
