Hi, My wife and I are visiting Florence and couple other cities in Tuscany. We would like to rent a car after our stay in Florence to be able to tour other cities in Tuscany. I am a little confused on where should I rent a car from in Florence so that I don't have to worry about ZTL zones. I greatly appreciate any advise on this subject. Thanks!!

First - you should delete your duplicate posts. You'll get more responders with a single post. The website below - unfortunately in Italian only - shows you a map of ZTL's in Florence. Autoeurope.com has 7 pickup locations in Florence. Now all you have to do is a little cross-checking. Website: https://ztl.comune.fi.it/tzi

Thanks Tom. Not sure how I ended up creating the multiple posts..all of them were at the same time and same text so not sure if there was some system issue of human error :) I have deleted them now. I will check out the map and try to figure out a good location. Thanks!

My advice: rent a car from the Florence airport. We once did so. All the global carf rental cos. are here, and you are a one minute drive from the highway. In addition, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Hotel 5 mins from the airport and 10 mins by public bus from the City centre of Florence, so we never encountered the ZTL problems. happy journey!

You could also consider taking the bus or train to Siena and renting a car from there--maybe after staying a couple of nights there?
