Renfe website help

Posted earlier about the route from Antequera Santa Ana to Ronda. Now I'm totally confused.

Renfe website shows a train (MD) departing at 2:40 pm and arriving at 3:45. Next to this route it has a ! symbol that says something to the effect that part of this route is by bus. On another travel website someone said there is no bus station in Antequera Santa Ana station.

Is the 2:40 departure by bus or train?

Thanks for clarifying this for me.

Sue,

If you will be traveling from Córdoba to Ronda ( info from your previous post),
You will be traveling via AVE ( high speed train) from Córdoba to Antequera Santa Ana where you'll transfer to an MD ( medium distance) train which will take you to Ronda. There is no bus involved when traveling from Antequera Santa Ana to Ronda.

The icon with the red ! explains that passengers will be transported by bus if traveling from Antequera Santa Ana to Antequera City, Loja or Granada. I understand how this would be confusing.

Since the railways are undergoing renovations between Antequera Santa Ana & Granada, passengers traveling on this route are transported via bus( provided by Renfe) from Granada to Antequera Santa Ana or vice- versa.

Bottom line, since your route does not involve going to Granada, you will not be traveling by bus from Antequera Santa Ana to Ronda; you will be traveling by MD train.

Enjoy your trip!

When a railway supplies a replacement bus, it departs from the train station rather than a bus station. Renfe has reportedly been directing customers well in the station.
