Though the facility itself was perfectly fine, beware mystery room charges on the checkout bill. I have had to battle Marriot over several bogus charges to my credit card. Some one at this hotel is up to no good. Since returning home, it has been more than a week to get resolution without satisfaction and have turned the problem over to my credit card company. The concierge was an overbearing, pompous ass, whom I avoided following initial contact. Posing as a high end hotel while charging for television and Internet is ridiculous. I would never use this hotel again and will go with boutique hotels in the future.
May we ask where this hotel is located?
And shouldn't this be posted under Reviews rather than Transportation? Nothing to do with transportation.
So you hate Amsterdam and the castles and this hotel somewhere in the world.
Do you usually have such a bad time?
This review isn't of much help, I'm afraid, with no clue of continent, much less country or city. By posting it in Transportation when it has nothing to do with transportation we can't even guess which country or city.
What are these mystery fees all about?
A lot of expensive hotels charge for wifi, more often than the budget ones. They assume that their customers are either on expense accounts or too rich to care.
"Posing as a high end hotel while charging for television and Internet is ridiculous."
Yes, but almost all the high end hotels do exactly that. It's the less expensive places that give free Wi-Fi; the more expensive the hotel, the more likely you pay for it, and the higher the cost. And this applies in the US too. Red Roof Inns have free Wi-Fi; Hiltons, not usually.
