With the price of fuel continually going up more and more Airlines are struggling to stay afloat. With the recent filing of bankruptcy by Aloha and ATA Airlines and subsequent discontinuing of operations it could be just the beginning. Hopefully it will not be a mass filing of bankruptcy but to be on the safe side I thought it would be a good time to remind the few who pay with a debit card, check or cash to pay with a credit card instead. With a credit card you will get your money back. With a debit card, cash or check you would have to file with the bankruptcy court and chances are you would not get your money back and if you did it would be a long drawn out process. ATA just ceased operations without notice only days after filing chapter 11. Now folks are stranded in Hawaii and cannot get home. Guess there is a bright side to every situation. I know most everybody here knows to use the credit card but if just one does not then maybe this will help.
I guess we can also wave buy to the lower fares offered by the discount airlines that are going under. Soon all that will be left are the big-boys...and we know how much THEY care for passengers!
Tim, I think they call it free market. If discount airlines are going under I assume that it means that their outflow was greater than their inflow. Customer services comes with a price. If you don't want to pay the price then you don't get the service.
