My hubby and I will be in Amalfi for one week in October and I would like the name of a reasonable AND reliable transfer company to take us from Amalfi to the airport in Naples. We might also be looking to book a tour of the area with an English speaking driver who will take us around to the sights, restaurants in the region. I would appreciate any suggestions from your personal experiences.
Thank you kindly,
Holly
Many private drivers do this. Tripadvisor has an extensive list of qualified drivers.. We used See Sorrento to take us from Sorrento to NAP.
Thank you. I have made a few inquiries to some of the ones on the Trip Advisor list. The going rate seems to be 110 euros for the transfer from Amalfi to Naples airport and 350 euros for a day trip in the Amalfi region. Sound about right?

From what I recall of previous posts on the subject, those numbers look 'familiar' ( you can use the SEARCH bar above to look for 'touring the Amalfi coast")
Note that your driver may not be a certified tour guide. We used our hotel to recommend their partner car service (but that was in Sorrento), on the assumption that they would have a big incentive to provide satisfaction. We also were able to charge it to our hotel bill. You need to know how may hours (8? 10?) you get for the day tour. In my opinion, you tip the driver. (Flame Alert!)
I'll comment that we told our driver, "No, we don't want to go to the pottery shop, but do they have toilets? OK, we'll stop there for that reason only." I don't mean we were nasty, only that you get what you ask for! You should have list of ideas, on which you can get his/her input if you like. I personally would not have a 2-3 hour Italian lunch while my car meter was ticking. We settled for chomping pre-made sandwiches in Ravello while we walked (very level up there) from the church to the Cimbrone Gardens! I would also skip the Green Grotto, although it doesn't take that long.
This is a special interest item, but if I were sleeping in Amalfi I would want to go (full day, I think) to the UNESCO WHS temples at Paestum. It's too far from Sorrento. It can be done with public transportation if you're game.
We paid around 120€ Sorrento to Naples airport. The drivers I contacted all did tours as well as airport transfers.
The Naples airport is nice, lots of good options for food. We were pleasantly surprised.
