Refundable ticket on Delta to CDG canceled June 6 - still no refund!

I am coming up on 30 days since I made the request. DOT says they have 7 days to issue a refund if paid by credit card. I have checked the status online many times and it still says pending. I get it that they are behind due to the current mess of flight cancellations either by them or the passenger, but really? 30 days and counting. This was a Delta One ticket so of course I'd like to get my money back sooner rather than later. Anyone else going through this with Delta? I will call the Refund Department next week and try to talk to a person to plead my case and maybe a human will walk this through for me. I used some eCredits against some of the ticket cost and I'd really like to get those back as I am working on taking a trip in the U.S. and need to use those credits.

OK I’m a little confused do you have e credit or a refund?

If you have e credit they should be showing in your Delta account. Have you checked there. Even if they’re not showing and you have the ticket number you can call Delta to book and they can apply it for you.

If you expect a credit card refund and you have the documentation from Delta and it’s been this long just file a dispute with your credit card company I had to do that last year with an Expedia refund and it got that got it resolved in about 15 minutes I think

Hi Carol, I used $1200 in eCredits and paid the rest so it's a combo refund of eCredits plus money. I thought about disputing it with my credit card company, but was worried I might lose my $1200 in eCredits. I think I'd like to try to get through to a person in the Refund Department first to see if it can get resolved that way.

Delta acted quickly with my refundable tickets (which also happened to be Delta One). However another refundable ticket took several weeks. In a case with mixed payments (ecredits plus charge card) I had to call them but did eventually receive the credit/refund applied. The issue was that something was not coded properly. I recommend making the phone call to Delta and having them carefully examine the elements of the refund due.

Yep- you had to be manually processed because you have a credit and cash on the same ticket.

Good luck getting through to the refund department.

LOL Carol! I am texting a rep as we speak. Keeping my fingers crossed this will get sorted out today.

I should have canceled with a rep to begin with. Lesson learned.
