Hi, My wife and I are planning our first trip to europe (France, Italy). From Paris to Venice, I booked tickets for thello night train and somehow the tickets got booked twice! Now I want to cancel the duplicate reservation. Looks like trenitalia doesn't allow online cancellation for international tickets. I mailed to [email protected] (which I found out after searching online. the trenitalia page that is supposed to mention this option doesn't exist anymore!). It has been two days but I have not heard from them. What are my options?

You might write again, using this email address: [email protected] And then be patient. It might take 4 or 5 days to hear back from them. I had a problem with a ticket and it took a few days but I did finally hear from them. They were unable to fix my problem (long story) but at least I wasn't left waiting and wondering.

You may also want to contest the duplicate purchase with your credit car company. Wait until you receive the bill with both charges and then call the cc company.
Call the credit card company now - don't wait for the bill.
