Railpass worth it with $1.57+ euro?

Hello to all, I've got a quick question/observation to make.

With railpass pricing determined in the beginning of the year (~$1.43-.45 euro), and the value of the dollar dropping, is this making the railpass an even better deal? I am taking a 6 week trip this summer, and I am still up in the air on whether or not to get a pass. Given the fact that the steady-price (in USD) of the railpasses does not fluctuate with the devaluing USD, this seems to be getting better and better, in some sick kind of irony.

Since the original prices were released in January 2008, a 10% devaluation of the dollar should equal a 10% increased value in the pass, no?

Thanks! Brian

The value of a railpass is dependent on the type and frequency of trips you will be making, not the value of the dollar.

You really need to do the math on point-to-point tickets versus railpass to determine if it has value for you, and this is highly variable . . .
