rail travel to Brugge from Paris airport

Can you travel from Paris airport to Brugge on the train and not have to transfer trains? How long does it take and how far ahead can you book? Some tell us 60 days and some say 90 days. Thanks

NO. Without checking schedules which you can easily do yourself at bahn.de, I would guess at least one transfer in Brussels. Brugge is not on any of the main lines. Generally schedules are not posted until about 90 days ahead and sometimes only 60 days. It varies some but it is not important. You can book when the schedule is available. There is rarely any need to reserve very far in advance. Sometimes you can get a discount for earlier purchase. And you can buy a ticket the day of travel.

Sue, Something to consider: in 2009 we found quite a savings by changing in Lille rather than Bruxelles.

TGVs from CDG to Lille stop at Lille Europe. You must walk to Lille Flandres, take a regional train to Kortrijk, and connect there to an IC train to Brugge. The standard 2nd class off-peak fare from CDG to Lille is €45 and the best Prem's fare is €15. The standard peak fare is €61 and the best Prem's fare is €20. Book up to three months in advance at www.tgv-europe.com. To keep the site in English and to avoid being bumped to the Rail Europe site which doesn't offer discount fares, choose Great Britain as your country of residence. There is open seating on regional and IC trains and there are no discount fares. Depending upon your arrival time at CDG, you could take a TGV to Bruxelles and an IC train from there to Brugge. The standard 2nd class fare for the TGV is €75 and the best Prem's fare is €25. Whichever route you take, book your TGV tickets ASAP. Prem's fare tickets sell out fast.

Tim: Appreciate the specific info you sent but we found no place to put in Great Britain as country of residence on the home page of tgv and it automatically sends us to raileurope Can you tell me what we are missing or not seeing on the page so we can move forward? Thanks
Sue
