Rail Travel Berlin-Prague and Prague-Frankfort

Hello, I am a group of 2 adults & 1 15 yr old traveling in Germany/Prague in September 09. I just received a verbal quote from the 800# for raileurope.com listing the 2nd class fare from Berlin-Prague @ $102/per person and Prague-Frankfurt Main (via Dresden) @ 197US/per person; this seems considerably higher than what a German friend thought these legs should cost. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Traveling 9/14/09-9/24/09. Thank you!!! Mary in Chicago

It's getting pretty late to be ordering rail tickets, but RailEurope is not the place to get the best fares anyway. Try German Rail. they will have the best full fare ticket prices and you might still find some Europa-Spezial Tschechien fares for as low as €39 pP each way. A lot of their tickets can be ordered online and printed on you own printer, but Europa-Spezial ticket might be an exception. If they have to mail them time is tight, but I think there is still enough time.

I don't know if German Rail accepts Frankfort as a spelling for Frankfurt (depends on whether there is a Frankfort somewhere in Germany). Just to be sure, spell it Frankfurt, in fact Frankfurt(M) is probably better. If you want to go to downtown Frankfurt, use Frankfurt(M) Hbf; if you want the airport, it's Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf.
