Unfortunately you have to do the homework. You need to price each leg using the national rail site for each country. Rail Europe is not dependable. And then compare that to a rail pass cost. Keep in mind that even with a rail pass there will be additional charges for using some trains commonly called seat reservation fee. Also, many of the rail companies offer discounts for early purchases so that needs to be factored into the numbers. One quick way is to look at pass cost - say $700 for a 4 day pass. That is $175/day. If each leg of your travel excess about $200 then a pass might be a better deal. Rail passes are no longer an automatic good deal.

I'm not going to add up all the legs for you and compare that to the price of a railpass - you can do that, but I'll give you some help on the cost of individual legs. I don't think the ferry from Bratislava to Vienna is included with a rail pass. I don't see it on the benefit list for either Austria or Slovakia. I think you get a discount on the Eurostar from Pares to Londen, but there are other fares, directly bookable, as low. Budapest to Vienna, when purchased in advance, online from Austrian Rail (www.oebb.at) is as low as €19/p. Vienna to Munich, purchased in advance, online from the German Rail (Bahn) website, can be as low as €29/p and Munich to Zürich, also from German Rail can be as low as €39/p. The three legs I mentioned could be purchase in advance for €87 ($113 per person). A 5 day, 5 country select saver pass is over $500/p.
