Rail Transport Help

We just booked our flights for a trip next year and now we need to figure out how to work the rails to travel in and between our stops. Not sure what the best options would be. We started to look at the rail pass but not sure how many travel days to get or if this is the best option. Any advice would be much appreciated-here is roughly what our trip will look like:

April 27-Fly into Amsterdam;
28-29-stay in Amsterdam (no trips planned out of city);
30- May 1-stay in Bacharach-plan to do river cruise and trains around the area;
2-3-stay in Brussels;
3-6-stay in Bayuex and plan to travel around the Normandy region;
7-9-Paris (plan to stay in city but may take a day trip?);
10-fly home

The best advice I have at this time is to prepare a spreadsheet of you travel plans. This would include details of where you will be each evening, your estimated times of travel and some detail of what you will be doing during the day. The important part is the detail on where you will be and your times of travel. This will greatly assist you in narrowing your search for trains and travel times.

Next, make some effort to work out Point-2-Point costs before jumping into a railpass. IMHO, so many people jump into expensive railpasses before working up the usually less expensive P2P options. With a bit more detail on your travel dates, we can offer a bit more info.

Where is the best place to find point to point costs and how far in advance can I find those costs?

We plan to train from Amsterdam to Bacharach. Bacharach to Brussels. Brussels to Bayeux. Bayeux to Paris.

The only places we envision doing any additional train trips will be around the Rhine (not exactly sure yet on the trip though) and in Normandy (ie-Bayeux to Mont St. Michele). Outside of that, we don't have any specific plans other than to sight see within the cities.
