rail prices in Germany

If I purchase rail tickets online at the DB Bahn site, am I allowed to use the sparpreis for one way point to point tickets?

Not sure I understand the question. SparPreis is a type (discount) of P2P ticket available online from the Bahn.

The simplest form of SparPreis ticket is the former Dauer-Spezial ticket, a discount P2P ticket using at least one express train per ticket for as low as €19 per person. There are also SparPreis 25 and SparPreis 50 tickets for round trip travel, giving a 25% reduction for non-weekend stays or 50% reduction for Sat. night stays.

The SparPreis tickets require at least 3 day advance purchase and are date and train specific. Exchange/refund restrictions apply.

With the SparPreis 25 & 50 tickets, co-travelers pay 50% of the first traveler's price. With the straight SparPreis, co-travelers pay from €20. The German Rail website will show you the available prices.
