I'm planning a trip for my husband and I, our 21 yo and 13 yo. Does anyone know if I buy a saver pass with all four of our names on it can we ride in 1st class if I pay the youth price for the kids? Or will we have to ride in 2nd class?
I think you will find you have to buy them adult tickets. I'm not sure if adults can buy a 2nd class pass.
There is a child's price for Eurail Saver Passes, but it is for age 4-11. Your children are too old for that. The only way they can be included on the Saver Pass is for you to buy it for 4 adults. There is no such thing as a Saver Pass for 2 adults and 2 youth. I you want to pay the youth price for them, you have to buy them Youth passes. Those are only for 2nd class.
If you buy the save pass it will be a 1st class pass. If you want to buy the 1st class saver for you and your husband and the 2nd class youth for your kids you can ride with them in 2nd class on your 1st class pass.
