Rail passes?? Britain and Chunnel

OK. I can't figure the best tickets to purchase. I'm travelling from Edinburgh to York; York to London; London to Paris. RailEurope lists a pass for $341.00 for all destinations. But it seems cheaper to buy a separate "Chunnel" ticket, and a Britrail flexi pass. All advice greatly appreciated. Leaving 1st of November.

I'm not sure that Eurail has a pass that will cover both Britain and the channel tunnel train. Usually, Britain has remained aloof from participating in the "Continental" pass arrangements.
In any event, as Steve has noted, you can find cheap advance purchase fares on the Eurostar to Paris. For the 10th of November, I'm still finding one-way tickets from 35 GBP.
For Edinburgh-York and York-London, check National Express. Although they only run some of the train lines, they sell for all, and are convenient for overseas credit card bookings. Edinburgh-York can be had for as little as 15 GBP, with York-London as low as 25 GBP. Check all restrictions. If you know your travel dates, you'd spend less purchasing on-line.

To get the 35 GBP fare on the Eurostar as described by Norm, you must register as a resident of the UK at www.eurostar.com. (You can do that, no matter where you live.)
