Rail passes

Some of the Eurail Aid offices will sell them..check out locations at http://eurail.com/eurail_aid_offices, and check with the ones you want before you leave to see if they do, indeed, stock the one you want. However, they will cost you more, 20-30% more than here. I would suggest that, before taking action on a pass, check out point to point ticket prices at http://www.voyages-sncf.com and http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html. Unless you're doing a LOT of travelling, point to point will probably come out a lot cheaper, never mind the hassles of getting a reservation needed on many trains, even with a pass.

The thing is that im leaving to paris this friday ( the 11th)and i want to go from paris to nice on the 16th but im afraid if i book them now i might not get them ontime...even though there is an overnight shippin option...do you think i should book them now? or am i too latE?

Spend a few minutes on the listed websites checking point to point costs. SNCF has an idTGV price on the 16th to Nice for 25 Euro....book it on line now and print out the ticket at home about five minutes from now. Use SNCF and Trenitalia to check out your other journeys. BTW, with point to point so cheap in Italy, it's probably the least efficient country in western Europe in which to use a Eurail pass.

There is also a direct Paris-Nice night train you could take which would save you the cost of a night in a hotel. If you book ASAP, you can still get a promo fare of 35€ for a bunk in a six-person couchette or 60€ for a bunk in a four-person couchette. IMO, paying a little more for the extra space and comfort is well worth it. These tickets are also printable. Leave France as the default country and do NOT choose cancellation insurance.
