I purchases a rail pass round trip from Paris CDG to Avignon. I also purchased the protection plan. Now that I am in France I realize that I don't have enough time on the return trip to make my flight. So I have been on the phone (costing $$) trying to change the ticket. I leave my number because the wait time is an hour. I do get called back but each time have been disconnected. (More$$). Finally got a reservation on hold but was on tour all day so it was cancelled. Now call back, get disconnected, etc. this is taking a lot of time. Is there ANY way to do it on line??? HELP
It sounds like you either have a rail pass with a reservation on a TGV or a train ticket with a reservation on a specific train.
Go into a SNCF Boutique - in most major and many less major towns - and sit down with the helpful probably English speaking person across the desk and explain your problem and see what she or he can do about it for you.
If you simply have a passholder reservation on the wrong train and your pass will be valid when you want to travel it is probably easier to throw the reservation away and buy another on the train you do want, assuming there are passholder reservations available on the train you want. The Boutique will be able to tell you all that.
If you say where you are, there are some here who can tell you where the nearest SNCF Boutique is.
Did you buy a pass or round trip point to point? I'd start by going on line to Rail Europe. It will probably be cheaper and easier to file a claim there. https://www.raileurope.com/about-us/contact-us2.html
I am in Uzes France.
SNCF Boutique is at:
8, rue Jacques D'Uzès

the office in Uzes has closed!!
Thank you for your responses. I just bought a new ticket. Experience continued to be strange. The ticket on hold left Nimes at 6:29. The next guy I talked to said there was no train leaving at that time. I was also quoted different prices. On and on ...
What does it say on the old ticket? Exactly?
What does it say on the new ticket?
When is your flight?
Looks like 7:29 is the first train from Nimes tomorrow, getting in to CDG at 11:03.
