rail pass + email confirmation

Somewhere, either on the Rail Europe website or RS website or book, I think I read that I should print and take the email confirmations with me to Europe. Now I cannot find where I read that; and since the passes and reservations are paper tickets I don't know why I would need the emails (maybe that advice was for e-tickets only?). Does anyone know about this?

I'm pretty sure you don't need an email confirmation for railpasses. It's a good idea to print them out for e-tickets though.
