I'm traveling thru Austria, Switz & Italy in May. Was planning on the 8 or 10 day eurorail saver pass for the 2 of us. #1 does it cover the smaller trains as well as the main ones. Especially the mountain scenic ones thru Switzerland?
2# if the tracks from Vienna to Zurick seem to go thru Germany on the map, do I need the 4 country pass instead?

Robert, if you intend to travel to Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Gimmelwald, Muerren or the two moutain tops (Jungfrau and Schilthorn) in Switzerland, your pass will only cover 25% of the fares there.

#2: No. The train cuts thru Germany, but does not stop there (assuming your on the Railjet train). It goes nonstop between Salzburg and Innsbruck.
