I've found some very good deals on the RailEurope website if you book far enough in advance (e.g., Paris-London $59 for seniors in May), but I'm constantly running into problems with their website which, for example, yesterday and today, would sell me a ticket from Paris to London, but would not be able to sell me the return ticket! (I've tried this purchase using my computer, my town library's computers, and my office computer, so it seems that this is THEIR problem.) I've called the Rail Europe office in NY twice (with about 30-minute waits on hold for an agent) to report the problem, but the site still seems not to be fixed for this matter. Have any others noticed similar problems on the Rail Europe website? (It still is unable to issue an International round-trip ticket from Paris-London as of this morning 1/10/2012, and their phone people know no more today than they did yesterday.)
Hi John. No need to use RailEurope website - they are a broker. You can buy directly using eurostar.com. Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for telling me about the eurostar site! For others reading my post, I should mention that I ONLY have this problem when booking round-trip INTERNATIONAL passage on RailEurope (i.e., between two countries).
