1. Need to depart CDG for Brussels by rail on 12/8 about 9 AM and return Brussels to CDG on 12/12 about 4 PM. Dates are not quite definite. What is the best strategy? 2. Do they sell the tickets at a machine or at a ticket window through a human? If so, which option is better? 3. Is there a place at CDG where I can leave a bag? What is the daily rate? Thanks
Your best choice is a direct TGV that leaves CDG at 10:10 and arrives at Bruxelles-Midi at 11:52. Other options that are both more complicated and more expensive include taking the RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord in Paris and a Thalys train from there to Bruxelles-Midi or taking a TGV from CDG to Lille Europe and the Eurostar from there to Bruxelles-Midi. There is a direct TGV that leaves Bruxelles-Midi at 16:09 and arrives at CDG at 17:46. Ticket machines in French stations only accept credit cards with embedded chips. If you go to a ticket window, the agent will swipe your card.
"depart CDG for Brussels by rail on 1/8...return Brussels to CDG on 12/12" Did you mean depart 12/8 or return on 1/12? You're not really staying 11 month, are you? I'm sure you can purchase a ticket at either a machine or window. If you are going via Thalys, you could probably get tickets for less at www.thalys.com.
