What is the best-fastest-most direct way to travel between Ayr and Fort William Scotland? Train? Bus? Will be picking up a car sometime after arrival in Scotland from Belfast by Stena. Would rather not go all the way to Glasgow, as we will be visiting there at the end of the week. Would like to get our rental car in Fort William, as we will be spending 4 days on the West Coast initially. advice? D.
