Questions for a college student visiting Vienna for 2-3 days in May

My 20 year old niece is finishing a semester abroad in Spain and will travel to Vienna on her own for 2 or 3 weekdays. I have a few Vienna transport questions.

  1. Is there an unlimited tram/u-bahn pass for 2 or 3 days? Is there a reduced pass price for college students? She'll be arriving by train from Budapest.

  2. Do Trams 1 & 2 in combination still travel the circumference of the Ringstrasse?

Thanks so much!

1) Yes, there is a 24- 48- and 72-hour pass you can get from any ticket machine. Cost €8 / €14.10 / €17.10 respectively. You timestamp (validate) the tickets the first time you use them, and that starts the "clock".
These tickets are not valid out to the airport, that needs a 2-zone ticket.
Info here (I can only find the prices in German): https://www.wienerlinien.at/eportal3/ep/channelView.do/pageTypeId/66526/channelId/-46648

2) Yes, 1, 2 and D go round the ring.
I found this map very useful when I was there recently. I printed it out, folded it up, stuffed it in my pocket and referred to it as I was walking around: https://www.wienerlinien.at/media/files/2018/city-plan_220937.pdf

And this U-Bahn map: https://www.wienerlinien.at/media/files/2018/svp-ab-sept-2017_217934.pdf
