Questions about layovers Charles de Gaulle Airport

Hello,
We've been told to be careful about layovers in this airport due to so many terminals far away;so my question is regarding our specific flights, terminals and how far away/close these are to each other so we will know how much time it will take to to inbetween:

Flight airbus 321 Jet landing 9 am terminal 2F

outgoing;

Boeing 747-400
leaving 10:15 terminal 2E

I'm hoping terminal all terminal 2's are fairly close to each other?? What should we expect?

Thanks for any info,

The keys to making your connection are arriving on time and being booked straight through so your luggage is automatically transferred to your connecting flight. If you have through booking, then your airline is required to put you on the next available flight if you miss your connection. For detailed information, go to www.easycdg.com and click on "Connecting Flights."

We recently had a 1:45 layover at Charles de Gaulle airport and only made our connecting flight because it was delayed for 20 minutes. Once you leave one terminal, you have to go through a passport check and security when you get to the next. Going between terminals wasn't a problem for us, but there is one terminal that you have to take a bus to. The passport check was the cause of our problems. It took at least an hour and a half to get through the passport check because there were only about 4 agents to check passports for 500-1000 people waiting in line. If you have an EU passport, you will not wait in line as long there. Based on the experience we just had two weekends ago, we would not have made our flight with a 1:15 layover.

I recall that 2E and 2F are right next to each other, so this shouldn't be a problem. It's when you change numbers in terminals that the problems at this very complicated airport start.

Terminal 2 is very large, and contains numerous gates spread out over several buildings. To complicate things, parts of Terminal 2 are under construction, meaning that in some cases, a shuttle bus might have to transport you directly to the foot of your airplane. Go to the website: www.easycdg.com where you can download terminal maps and get further information.
