Question for those who fly within Europe

I am planning to fly from France to Rome. Ryanair fly from is Beauvais (Paris) to Ciampino (Rome). I would like to know is there any website where I can obtain information regarding transportation to and from these airports and time involve. I will appreciate any information.
Thank you

We've taken the Terravision Bus from Ciampino Airport to the Termini Train Station in Rome and it was pretty easy--it took about 40 minutes.

Try these links for more info:

Rome Ciampino

Beauvais Paris

The Ryanair website has an "Airport Transfer" tab. You can use the page to get information on transportation to/from the airports you are using.

RC,

As you're flying with RyanAir, be sure to PACK LIGHT or you'll be paying an overweight luggage charge. They are VERY strict!

Happy travels!

I suppose Ryanair is a lot cheaper than taking the train? The train takes about twelve hours, on a fast TVG -- change in Milan -- and would probably be beautiful scenery. About 200 Euros first class.

Being a train buff, I'd take the train.. .

In 2006 summer to reach Ciampino, I took metro to Anagnina and from there about 45 minutes bus ride to airport for 1 Euro. These buses start just outside the metro station. As per some comments on some other blogs these buses may be getting over crowded these days. For me it was not a problem as I was travelling with just a carryon.

I fly Ryanair when needed (or any carrier that gets me there and is cheap) Paris/Rome qualifies as one of those segments to fly, since the train will be loong...

As long as you consider the cost of the flight, plus fees/taxes, plus online check-in fee (15 Euro) a baggage fee (10 Euro right now, going up), plus transpotation way out to those airports, and come up with a good deal and time...then go for it. As others mentioned, be very careful on your luggage weight and volume, otherwise that good deal can skyrocket to much more than even first class fast train or an overnight with private berth.

Did you already book Ryanair? If not, look at Vueling, I used them last year for Paris to Rome. They use Charles de Gaulle, which is easy to get to and Romes Fiumicino( Leanardo De Vinci) airports with public transport. Ryanair used far out airports.

If you have not booked the flight yet, this is a good website to find which airlines fly where and what airport is used. If you are going to
be in Paris, Beauvais is a good hour away. You might want to check what airlines fly to Rome from either Orly or CDG. The website is www.flylc.com

No, I have not book the flights yet.

  1. What's the closest airport to the military base (Raimstein)Germany. Hahn??

  2. Regarding the weight, I tried to look at their web site and could not find the information. What's the weight limit?

  3. In Venice, I know the ideal airport is MarcoPolo, but only few airlines flight from Venice to Frankfurt. One of the in Ryanair. This airline departs from Treviso. How far is this airport?

  4. Regarding the suitcases with Ryanair. I am planning to take 1 carry on. Do I have to pay for it? Can I keep it or do I have to checked it in?

Ryanair makes you charge for the 1st piece of luggage and offer no luggage handling service at the airport anymore. If you bring 1oz of luggage more than booked online they really make you pay. Your better choice of low cost airline might be www.airberlin.com even though you'll have to change planes once. Better service, luggage is no problem and they fly into the real airports as opposed to Beauvais ;)
