I've seen ads for Turo rental and decided to check them out. It looks like people rent out their cars for much lower rates than typical rental car companies. Does anyone have experience with this company? Pro's Con's?

If they're renting cars out for much lower rates than others then there's a reason why. If it looks too good to be true.....avoid.

My 22 year old son needed a long term rental while at an internship in another state. He ended up using Turo. Rate was much better than the quotes we received from the usual car rental companies. Unfortunately, the under age 25 surcharge still applied. The car he rented had more age on it than you would find in your usual car rental inventory. He, however, had no issues with the car. He declined the optional car insurance offered through Turo, as I called my car insurance company and they said that the Turo rental would be covered under our auto policy. Car was delivered and picked-up at his place of residence. When researching cars to rent, we did look at the reviews of the renters. No problem with this Turo rental.
