Hello everyone.
I am staying in the 6th District at Hotel Das Tyrol n Vienna and will be traveling back and forth from Salzburg.
Does anyone know which of the train lines would be best for me to use for this trip? Does it matter?

Looks like it’s easiest to go via the Vienna Westbahnhof train station. You can either take the Stassenbahn 52 streetcar or the U-Bahn. The streetcar leaves from near the Hotel Das Tyrol at the Stiftgasse stop and travels to Westbahnhof. You can also walk from the hotel to the U-Bahn station at Neubaugasse and take line U3 to Westbahnhof
If you’ll be taking a lot of roundtrips, look into a Vorteilscard which discounts regular fares by 50% on Austrian trains.

Train lines like WestBahn vs OBB? )I dont think RegioJet makes that run). On a 2.5 hour trip a train is a train. I guess check all the options paying attention to the stations being served. Here is an older discussion https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/austria/obb-or-westbahn-train
